Five people and one long table in Príncipe Real. We design houses, small public buildings and interiors — a few at a time, each drawn by hand before it is built.

Our story

The practice

SpeakLab started from a simple observation at our family’s 44-year-old language school in Istanbul: learners can read and write — but freeze when it’s time to speak.

So we built a school around speaking. AI tutors hold real conversations, score your pronunciation and adapt every lesson to your level — any time, as often as you like.

We work for families, foundations and cities: people who want a building that will still feel right in forty years. Most of our work is in Portugal; some of it travels.

Today thousands of learners practise with SpeakLab, and schools, colleges and universities in Türkiye use it with their students.

Each project starts on tracing paper and ends on site. We build models for every stage, and we stay involved until the last door handle is fitted.
